Class Descriptions

All classes are 45 minutes long.

Friday Classes At Black Door Yoga

4pm Beginners Yoga: Wanting to try yoga butnot sure where to start? Join Shuba at Black Door Yoga for a 45 slow flow, focused on getting comfortable and confident on the mat.

5pm Get Fit with Christina Deluca: Class description coming soon!

6pm Poetry Writing: Join author Jean Robison, M. Ed English, for a 45-minute poetry class on writing haiku. Haiku is an ancient Japanese form of poetry that follows a structure of three lines and a pattern of five, seven, and five syllables. This form of poetry focuses on an in-the-moment, close observation of nature to evoke a certain mood, such as a feeling of meditative peace or the calm after a storm. Jean will share a selection of haiku to read and discuss, followed by an introduction of the poetic devices that are most helpful when writing this form of poetry. The class will then write a haiku of their own, with the option of sharing it with the class at the end. All levels of writers encouraged to attend!

7pm Restorative Yoga with Samantha: Wind down from your week with restorative yoga, focused on deep breathing, breath awareness, and long-hold stretches.

Saturday Classes at Angel’s Garden Center

9am Vinyasa Yoga with Samantha: Who doesn’t love an Angel’s yoga pop-up! Vinyasa yoga focuses on postures (asanas) that strengthen muscles, improve mobility, and focus your attention. Class moves at the pace of your breath.

10am Mat Pilates with Core Theory Pilates: A full-body mat Pilates class built around intentional movement, core strength, alignment, and control. Expect an approachable, feel-good flow designed to challenge you, connect you to your body, and leave you feeling stronger and more balanced.

11:30am KAYA Core: Explore the connection between breathing, the deep core, pelvic floor, hips, and movement. Participants will learn practical strategies and exercises they can incorporate into their yoga practice and everyday activities, along with education on pelvic floor relaxation, coordination, and strengthening.

1pm: Your Body is Weird with Chiropracter Dr. Sarah Koch : Live experiments on your own nervous system! No stretching, no lecture, no pretending your body is broken. We’ll mess with your balance, your feet, your breathing, and your brain, and you’ll walk away with zero new stretches and one new appreciation for how ridiculously adaptable your body actually is
